This month, Vallum is participating in the Great Canadian Giving Challenge! We’ll be letting you know about some of the great organisations Vallum Society for Education in Arts & Letters (VSEAL) hosts literacy workshops with through our ‘Poetry for Our Future!’ outreach program! ‪#‎GivingChallengeCA‬

Meet the Concordia Quebec Public Interests Research Group!

“QPIRG at Concordia is a resource centre for student and community research and organizing. We strive to raise awareness and support grassroots activism around diverse social and environmental issues. Our work is rooted in an anti-oppression analysis and practice. We seek to make campus-community links and inspire social change through engaging, inclusive and non-hierarchical approaches.”

VSEAL hosts workshops with QPIRG to enhance poetry literacy, creativity and free play with an engagement in activism and self-expression. June 29 (tomorrow!) from 6-8pm, ‘Poetry for Our Future!’ facilitator Alisha Mascarenhas will be hosting a workshop at QPIRG (1500 de Maisonneuve Ouest, Rm. 204) focusing on re-combination and cut-ups in poetry. All ages and skill levels welcome!

And don’t forget, you still have two more days to help VSEAL win $10,000 to support ‘Poetry for Our Future!’ workshops! Click the button below to donate – each dollar you donate before the end of June is an entry into the contest. Every dollar counts!
