The Inadequacy of the Present

The subject is female……the subject is
fear itself thrashing underwater
the moment at which breath withheld is finally
released……the subject is adrenalin
flanked by surrender
as four minutes and thirty three seconds of darkness
fill her lungs
mudswirl in the aftermath of seismic explosions
through her core…….finite hands on submerged hull

…………………………groping
